AMBIANCE

Interior Design by Jason Longo of JDL Interiors

The environment of the restaurant is just as important as the food we prepare.

The design goal was to create a space that best represents the meaning of the restaurant; simplicity.

Everything from the wall colors and lighting; to the music and the logo were carefully selected and created.

“The original wood timbers, brick walls and high ceilings of this old factory provided the perfect backdrop for the design”, says Jason.

Using a neutral color palette of warm beige, chocolate and a soft, earthy green; the space was transformed into a comfortable and serene dining environment.

Partnering with photographer Marc Pagano of Pagano’s Visual Perception, Jason planned out a unique way to dress the walls with homegrown artwork.

"Working with Marc was a perfect choice.  He understood exactly what I wanted to capture, and succeeded.  When you are seated at your table, the only thing you should notice in the space is the plate in front of you and the photographs of the food from local farms that Arthur incorporates into his menu."

The guests should feel comfortable and focused. “There should not be any extra visual distractions to take the focus off of the meal and the company you are dining with”.
